PromoTuscia, the Secret Garden, tour operator specialized in gardens tours,
is pleased to introduce the second edition of Wines and Gardens of
Calanchi.
The 28th and 29th of May a select track among private gardens and wine
cellars will be open in the wonderful Calanchi Valley between Alto Lazio
and Umbria, together with a series of performances concerning Contemporary
Art.
Paolo and Noemia D’Amico, owners of the farm “La Vigna” (which boasts,
together with the garden, beautiful wine cellars), Pavoncelli Counts,
owners of “Il Macereto” and Clementi and Kitty Gentiloni owners of “La
Canonica” will be delighted to open the gates of their gardens under the
guidance of expert botanists.
The guided tour through the historic Cantine Mottura will certainly be a
feather in the cap of this great event: together with the beauty of the
places made from tufa, visitors could follow the different stages of the
classic fizz manufacturing.
The core of the event will be the little square of Civitella D’Agliano
where wines, gardens and arts will be present through guided tasting by
sommelier AIS, collector’s nursery gardens exhibitions and raku and
buccaro by the ceramist Giovanna Soldini.
One could participate according two methods:
§ Monaldeschi Formula, which consists of: displacements in shuttle bus
across the whole track, guide service, entrance and guided tour to the
gardens and wine cellars, concerts in the gardens, visit to Palazzo
Monaldeschi and offered lunch in the roof garden, wine tasting

§ Green way Formula which consists of: entrance and guided tours across
the track, wine tasting, events within the gardens.
