Arrival of participants at Marrakech airport. Meet the driver and guide and check in at the Hotel Palmeraie Golf Palace (5 stars).

In the early afternoon we stroll through the bustling Medina quarter and the souks of Marrakech, among lively alleys, the scent of spices, artisan workshops and timeless atmospheres, all the way to the famous Jemaa el-Fna square, the city's beating heart.

We then visit the charming Jardin Secret. The complex's two splendid gardens - the Exotic Garden and the Islamic Garden, unrivalled in Marrakech - were designed by the English architect Tom Stuart-Smith, one of the world's most renowned landscape designers, behind the gardens of Windsor Castle and the Royal Horticultural Society.

Dinner at leisure and overnight stay.

Breakfast. In the morning we visit the scenic Ourika Valley at the foot of the Atlas, among landscapes in vivid shades of ochre and green.

The first stop is the Anima Garden by artist André Heller: a magical garden where nature meets art, with countless botanical influences from around the world interwoven with works by Picasso, Haring, Rodin and many others.

Next we visit the Bio-Aromatic Garden: at eight hundred metres of altitude, at the foot of the High Atlas, Professor Jalil Belkamel created it to catalogue and preserve Morocco's aromatic and medicinal plants. Lunch included within the garden.

In the afternoon we return to Marrakech to visit the Yves Saint-Laurent Museum and the Majorelle Gardens. The museum, opened in the city so beloved by the designer and by Pierre Bergé, stands beside the most famous and photographed garden in Marrakech, once owned by the painter Jacques Majorelle and later lovingly restored by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé. Free time for a walk through the alleys of the Medina and for shopping.

Dinner included at the Maison Arabe, a historic boutique riad-hotel a few steps from Jemaa el-Fna square. Overnight stay.

Breakfast. Departure with luggage heading south, across the spectacular landscapes of the High Atlas along the Tizi n'Tichka pass, among Berber villages, mountains and breathtaking views.

Arrival at Aït Ben Haddou, where we visit the famous fortified kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site: an extraordinary example of earthen architecture, an ancient stop on the caravan routes between Marrakech and the Sahara and the setting for many international film productions. Free time for lunch at leisure.

We continue to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert and a historic crossroads of southern Morocco's caravan routes, with a walk among its striking earthen buildings.

In the afternoon the journey continues to the Dades Valley, along the so-called road of a thousand kasbahs, among fortified villages, palm groves, oases and cultivated valleys. On arrival in Dades, check in at the Hotel Palm Dades (4 stars). Dinner included and overnight stay.

Breakfast. The day begins crossing the Valley of the Roses, one of the most fascinating areas of southern Morocco, famous for growing the Damask rose: among Berber villages and irrigated gardens, the valley tells of the ancient bond between local communities and a land that is arid yet surprisingly fertile, tied to the production of scented waters, oils and essences.

We continue to the spectacular Todra Gorges, imposing canyons where high ochre walls guard palm groves, streams and oasis gardens. We go on to Tinejdad, an ancient oasis along the caravan routes, for lunch at leisure.

In the afternoon we head to Erfoud, a historic gateway to the desert, with a visit to a traditional palm grove and a khettara garden, an ancient underground system used to collect and channel water in the Saharan oases.

Arrival at Merzouga, at the gates of the Sahara. A scenic camel ride at sunset takes us to the tented camp. Accommodation in private tents and an unforgettable evening in the desert, with dinner included under the stars, traditional Berber music and tales around the fire.

At dawn, an optional early rise to admire the sunrise over the Sahara dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp and the return to the village by 4x4.

Departure northwards, gradually leaving the desert landscapes to reach the Atlas mountains. The route crosses the Rashidiya region, an ancient gateway to the oases of the south-east, among rocky scenery, palm groves and traditional earthen villages.

We continue along the spectacular Ziz Valley, where an immense palm grove follows the river creating a long green ribbon between mountains and desert. Lunch at leisure along the way.

In the afternoon we arrive in Midelt, a town between the Middle and High Atlas, surrounded by mountains, orchards and rural landscapes. Check in at the Hotel Kasbah Almaa (4 stars). Dinner included and overnight stay.

Breakfast. Departure towards Fez along a scenic mountain route through the Middle Atlas. Stop in Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, for a stroll among manicured gardens and tree-lined avenues with a European feel.

We continue to Azrou, a Berber town surrounded by cedar forests, with a short visit to the forest inhabited by the curious Barbary macaques. Free time for lunch at leisure.

In the afternoon we arrive in Fez, the religious and cultural capital of Morocco: the oldest of the imperial cities, with the largest Medina in the country. Check in at the Hotel Les Merinides (5 stars). Dinner at leisure and overnight stay.

Breakfast and a day dedicated to discovering Fez, with special attention to its historic gardens and traditional architecture.

The day begins with a visit to the Jnan Sbil Gardens, a historic green oasis between the Medina and the Royal Palace: among shaded avenues, fountains, palms, citrus and exotic trees, the garden is a refined example of the Islamic tradition, where water and nature become elements of harmony.

We enter the historic Medina of Fez el-Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, through its ancient monumental gates. We stop at the Bou Inania and Al-Attarine Madrasas, masterpieces of Marinid architecture with courtyards decorated in zellij mosaics and carved cedar wood, and at the Karaouine Mosque-University (exterior). Free time for lunch at leisure.

In the afternoon we visit the Funduq al-Najjarin, an 18th-century caravanserai now a wood museum, and stroll through the artisans' quarters with a stop at the famous tanneries. Farewell dinner at the Maison Bleue and overnight stay.

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport and departure on flights to Italy. End of services.

For participants with afternoon or evening flights, there is the chance to continue exploring the Medina of Fez with free time for shopping and strolls among the historic alleys, the artisans and the traditional cafés.
