Tour Program
Day 1 – Bolsena: between lake, stone and ancient faith
Arrival in Bolsena, a charming village overlooking the tranquil waters of the largest volcanic lake in Europe.
Guided tour of the historic center: cobbled streets opening onto panoramic views with the Monaldeschi Castle in the background, the majestic Basilica of Saint Christina, site of the Eucharistic Miracle of 1263.
Afterwards, an exclusive experience at Palazzo del Principe del Drago: an elegant historic residence overlooking the lake, where a private aperitif will be held among frescoes, gardens, and breathtaking views. A convivial and suggestive moment to begin the journey through Tuscia in a unique way.
Accommodation in a hotel in Bolsena.
Dinner at the hotel restaurant with lake fish dishes: the protagonist of the evening will be coregone, typical of Lake Bolsena, cooked in a simple way to highlight the delicacy of its meat.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 – Caprarola and Villa Lante: Renaissance harmonies and hazelnut flavors
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer by private bus to the magnificent Palazzo Farnese in Caprarola, a masterpiece of the late Renaissance designed by Vignola. Its frescoed halls, vaulted ceilings, and the perfect geometry of the garden will transport you into a suspended time, between myths and Mannerist symbolism.
Lunch in a farmhouse near Lake Vico, where the star will be hazelnut pesto, a gastronomic pride of the area.
In the afternoon, visit to Villa Lante in Bagnaia: a masterpiece of the Italian garden, a magical place where water dances among fountains and perspective games.
Return to the hotel. Dinner in a selected restaurant in Bolsena and overnight stay.
Day 3 – Viterbo and Civita di Bagnoregio: living history and suspended silence
Morning dedicated to discovering Viterbo, the “City of the Popes,” historic capital of Tuscia.
Guided tour of the historic center with the Papal Palace, peperino stone fountains, medieval towers, and the San Pellegrino district, one of the largest and best-preserved in Europe.
Stop at an artisan ceramic workshop and visit to the Paradosso olive mill, with tastings of extra virgin olive oil and local Viterbese focaccia.
Free time for lunch in one of the atmospheric restaurants in Viterbo’s historic center.
In the early afternoon, transfer to Civita di Bagnoregio, the “dying town suspended between sky and earth.” Walk through its silent lanes, overlooking the surreal landscape of the Valle dei Calanchi and the Tiber Valley.
Return to Bolsena, dinner and overnight stay.
