In the afternoon arrival in Nogaro and check in to Hotel Vittoria.

Afterwards arrival at the  medieval village Strassoldo. Visit to Strassoldo di sotto Castle with its age-old park together with Countess Ombretta Strassoldo, and Strassoldo di Sopra  Castle  welcomed by Countess Elisabetta Strassoldo.

Later on, transfer by coach to Gradiscutta di Varmo to visit Lorenzo Dante ferro’s laboratory, creator of many scents for the house.

Departure for Cordovado to visit Piccolomini-freschi garden with the owner Donna Benedetta.

Then, visit  to Altan Palace and its restored  Italian garden.

Stop at  Camino del Tagliamento to visit the nineteenth century garden  of Mrs Pucci Stroili. The garden features an important arboretum and collections of mints, violets and hortensias.

In the early morning transfer to Rivignano for having breakfast in the Barchessa of Mirella Presot Collavini, creator of her garden. The flower designer Fontanel will join us.

In the afternoon, departure for Flambruzzo, ( along the way stop at one of the more suggestive corners of the area  in front of villa Savorgnan Ottelio with an age-old magnolia in the middle of the garden). The Duke Gian Luca Badoglio will wait and show us the vast English park with rare species  of trees and flowers.

In the afternoon,  visit to Castions delle Mura where we will be  welcomed by Donna Britta Costantini Scala. Dinner in the villa.

Breakfast in hotel.

Transfer to the city of Palmanova with a star-shaped  structure  , work of Scamozzi,  favorite student of  Palladio, and departure for Villanova dello Judrio to visit Vito Gorgnali’s Garden , an English gardener.

Drive to  Rocca  Bernarda  Castle and visit to the vineyards and canteens, ( time for wine tasting).

Next is Rosazzo Abbey , a  religious cultural test centre, known as “Monatsero delle Rose”, (Roses’ Monastery). Lunch at the Azienda Agricola Perusini on the hills of Collio, overlooking the valley and  Carniche mountains.

In the afternoon departure for Gorizia to visit Coronini Cronberg Park. The tour guide Luciano Viaotri will also show his  park. Not only does It features 500 species of azalea and   150 of   mgnolia, Cornus, Viburnum, Kalmia, Prunus but also  a beautiful landscape. Aperitif at casa Zaina. The owner of the house Mrs Marpillero is  a well known poet and writer in Friuli language.
